As the use of luxury items are included in the album cover it creates a sense of power and authority gained from being rich, therefore this allows the viewers to experience these feeling by simply seeing the cover or purchasing the album at a low cost, being that you do not have to have a lot of money or power to feel good and confident. By the use for these colours it helps the album cover stand out and therefore increasing sales and facility. The colour gold connotes strength and wealth, this suggest power to females changeling dominant ideology which I have noticed in the majority of music videos and album covers I have analysed. The colour purple connotes romance this suggests that the target audience is aimed at a wide array of ages as romance is common in most ages varying from young to older ages.

The female figure is wearing clothes that compliment her figure and beauty this attracts the opposite gender as it connotes seduction. The purple top she is wearing shows cleavage and skin this also helps create a sex appeal making her seem more confident, this can occur to both male and females genders as it could give women the feel good factor showing them that showing cleavage and skin can make them feel and look that good and confident. Also this can be aimed at the male gender as women are ‘eye candy’ to men therefore the sexier she looks the more male audience she will attract. As I have analysed and researched the key codes and conventions of R&B I have noticed that the scene for this particular genre is at nightclubs and parties, this suggests dancing and having a good time, therefore by feeling confident and sexy it can ensure that people have a good night out making them happy.
By the use of props, costumes and colour on the album cover it suggest the genre of the music as they all relate to the key codes and conventions of the R&B genre. As the female figure is shown in a medium close ups it suggests that she dominates the album cover and is representing a key aspect of the particular genre. This is due to her body language and gesture.

Luxury items are once again used on this album cover, including a swimming pool and a mobile phone which the female model is holding this connotes wealth allowing the audience to either connect with the cover or have an experience of being wealthy without actually having loads of money themselves.
A palm tree and the swimming pool both connote the summer which links back to other album covers i analysed this connotes hot weather portraying a happy, free experience. This also connotes being on holiday which also links back to the key codes and conventions of R&B genres as they are comman at nightclubs and nights out which include dancing, having a good time and alchol this sets the scene for the genre and helps the audience relate to the music.
As well as the first R&B album i analysed a box is shown in the botton left hand corner including the names of the artists within the cd, these names consist of

Lady Gaga
50 Cent
these artists are R&B artists therefore it allows the audience to understand and have knowledge on what R&B genre music is like, by the famous artists listed on the front who are reconisable it allows the audience to relate to the artists.
The colours used including blue, pink and green they connote happiness, passion and summer time which creates a bright, enthusastic feel allowing the audience to experience these emotions.
